Get rid of a token you have, and choose a token you want

Both buying and selling of tokens take place through our /market feature which facilitates Instant Trades

When you want to sell a currently held token at the current market price, you can make use of our Market trading feature, found at /swap . The market feature allows you to make an instant trade or swap of a token for another.

If you want to place a trade at a specific price, then check out Limit Trades.

How to sell a token

1. Enter the Instant Trade menu by using a shortcut or typing /swap in the chat.

2. Choose the token you wish to sell. You can either choose from one of the quick-token options displayed or type in the name/address of the token you want to sell.

3. Now choose which token you are looking to get in return for your sale; this is the token you are effectively buying. Again you can either choose from one of the quick-token options displayed, or type in the name/address of the token you want to buy.

4. Now you need to specify how you want to trade. You can either choose the exact amount of the token you want to get rid of, or you can choose the exact amount of the token you are going to receive for it.

5. Specify the amount as per the above.

6. Adjust the order (see Advanced Settings below) if required.

7. A final message will show you the trade summary and ask you whether to continue.

8. Make the trade!

Advanced Settings

The advanced settings allow you to review and tweak your order values, as well as specify your slippage. To open the menu, press the Adjust button that is presented in the trade confirmation message.

Trade parameters

You can tweak your trade parameters in this menu. One of the tokens will be locked based on your previous selection on whether to buy a specified amount or sell a specified amount

Slippage

Slippage protects you from sudden market movements, MEV exploits and other events that might influence the market price. By setting the slippage amount (expressed as a % or total value) you instruct us to only allow the trade to be executed if the price is better than the specified limit.
